Motion in Model:

This feature is to be handled in detail in the next phase

The movement in the space is an organic movement simulating the movement of the actual shell.

The holes in the roof of the model are simulating the holes of the actual shell,
they can open and close for climate, and light control.

The body of the model, can be (on one side) lifted open to a 

certain degree and closed again giving the space in new perspective.

The Model

Designed Model:

 Developments made to my model, enhanced by features and materials to emphasise:

 ·  The scale of the space.  Scale 1:50

·  Emphasise how it looks from inside, how people would be in such an 'organic space'.

· It's showing the Holes, are in harmonious ‘organic’ curve lines simulating the breathing holes on the actual shell body.

·  Underscore how the holes came into a curvy line! And the function of the holes providing daylight to space. -When needed- also they’re points of LED for after dark.  (Motion, will be revealed later)

·  Showing the Pearl ‘organic feature’ as centre of space, as light source, centre for interactive services. Point of providing a light source of the space shines to reflect on the shining mother of pearl lining of inner wall.

· The LED dimmable-soft blue lights- by the pearl simulating sea colour.

· The Pole that would devise the lifting motion to open and close the space. (Motion is next phase of the practice)

·Presentation of the model, will include Sea wave’s sound effect simulating that design is inspired by the sea shells.   

·  Interior design features, concerning the motion of the space, will be revealed in next phase.

As I was doing research on Moving Organic Structures in the UK, as one of the options I could consider is the "motion" action within the organic space.

It is a simulating the motion of an organic creature, like what would happen in Nature
There are many good examples of architect's designs around the world, But we have a very good example here in the UK, a "Rolling Bridge" in Paddington Basin. Rolling Bridge opens by slowly and smoothly curling until it transforms from a conventional, straight bridge, into a circular sculpture which sits on the bank of the canal.
 That brigde could simulate the action of the Caterpillar, or the action of Scorpion tail !!
That bridge is desigened by architect Heatherwick, who got me inspired to have the" motion "of  the organic space I design in my consideration .
like for example, opining or floating or rolling or elevating the roof to open and close in my organic space
where that simulates the motion of an organic element in nature. 
But that is  just a consideration.

How can Organic element influence the Organic space design?

The design is inspired by the various phases and states of water. Water acts as 

 the transformational element moving across the façade, carving out the interior and moving through the main gallery as individual drops.
